Book 2, Question 101

Why Do We Live in Families?

We live in families because human kids need years of feeding, protection and teaching while they grow.

Humans are not like some animals that can look after themselves right away. Families feed, protect, and teach kids while their brains are still building. Humans grow best with a team!

Quick answers

Do other animals live in families?

Most animals do not. Orangutans mostly live alone, while gorillas live in close groups.
